Choose the computer you need help with.
On a Mac, choose Apple menu → About This Mac. “Chip: Apple M…” means Apple Silicon. “Processor: Intel…” means Intel.
Other downloads
Windows on ARM or an older operating system? Ask Uncle Charles which download to use.
Open the app
Open the downloaded file. On a Mac, drag UncleCharles-Support into Applications, then open it.
Read out your ID
Tell Uncle Charles the ID shown in the support app.
Approve the connection
Click Accept when the connection request appears. You can end the session at any time.
First time on a Mac?
macOS will ask you to allow Screen Recording and Accessibility in System Settings. These let Uncle Charles see your screen and control the mouse and keyboard. Follow the app’s prompts; Uncle Charles can guide you.
